Personal trainingWith me, Personal Training will give you the support and encouragement you need to reach your own individual goals; whether that’s to lose weight, increase general fitness levels, recover from an illness or injury or even run a marathon!

However, personal training is much more than just exercise; it’s about success and success is best achieved if the relationship between trainer and client is trustworthy, friendly and confidential.

If you allow me to understand and motivate you, taking into account your lifestyle pressures and personal challenges I will help you to become a fitter, healthier and happier person.


I obtained my Advanced Personal Training Instructor and Nutritional Advisor qualifications (Level 3) in April 2007. So I many years of experience. I have also obtained the following qualifications to further my knowledge:-

  • Exercise Referral - for clients with conditions including MS, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Asthma, Arthritis, Diabetes
  • Low Back Pain Management
  • Strength & Conditioning Coach (Level 4)
  • Rehab Training
  • Post & Ante Natal Exercise Prescription.

I am also a Sports Massage Therapist and qualified to apply Ultrasound Therapy to injuries. I am First Aid trained.

I also work in cooperation with local therapists including, Physiotherapist Jon Shepherd, Osteopath Angus Hellier & Sports Injury Therapist Dan Higgs, to discuss tailored rehab & training programmes for our shared clients.


Since qualifying I have developed a portfolio of successes, including –

  • Motivating clients to reach their goals; whether it is to lose weight, do a Park Run, or play a better game of golf/tennis and feel better about themselves
  • Improving the quality of life for clients with Low Back Pain, Depression, Parkinson’s Disease, MS, Arthritis and disability after operations and accidents.
  • Completing, competing in and/or improving times for Marathons, ½ Marathons, 10km & 5km races, Triathlons, Cycle Rides (including Ultras), Moonwalks/Charity Walks, competitive Swimming, Rugby
  • Rehabilitation after a serious accident, injury or surgery including ankle/knee reconstruction, muscle and tendon strains/sprains
  • Combining sports massage therapy with exercise programming to help with returning to exercise.
